Fishing Affairs League 2009 (12/12/2009 Saturday) 9am to 2pm

A bright sunny Saturday morning on 12/12/09, Fishing Affairs are holding their final league pond fishing competition at Pasir Ris Town Park for the year of 2009. We have some early bird arriving at 7.45am looking for a good fishing spot that they believe can make them the Champion!

Competition start at 9am sharp after the bell goes. Look at all the baits jumping into the event pond at the same time, fish meat, live prawn, sotong, and sound like having a seafood steam boat… This is because everyone is trying to hook up the 1st fish of the competition that will make them $50 richer. At 9.05am Mr. Foo and Ms Jane Lee have a pull in their rod, Mr. Foo landed a 900g Snapper who make himself $50 richer then others, good job Mr. Foo. Ms Jane Lee was so close just a min behind Mr. Foo that she also landed her 1st catch of the day.

At about 9.50am Mr Azmee was shouting for Net! Net! Net! Someone pls help me to stand by a net I got a big baby here… after a while a 2.27kg Snapper was landed by his light action rod with only 15lbs main line.. ha ha lucky guy ya.

Now everyone is aiming to get something bigger then 2.27kg to win the 1st prize, Mr. Ettore landed his 1st fish of the day, weight in a 1.49kg Snapper, but he never stop just there, he work even harder this time to bit his own record. Ms Ryan Cecilia one of our potential bonus prize winner participant hooks up a 1.37kg Snapper at about 10.05am, Mr. Woon came in with a 1.44kg Snapper biting Cecilia by 0.07g... yet to bit the 2.27kg Snapper. Over the other side of the pond Mr Danny landed a 900g Sea bass, he was our double league champion on April and August, can he be the 3rd time champion in the league, ‘ I will try my best ‘ telling me after he landed the sea bass. Mr Eric Lim landed a 1.65kg Snapper, Mr. Eric Lim our goodies bag sponsor came with a group of friends to support our event. Total about 12 of them, 7 of them are taking part in this competition. Thank you guys! The most sporting anglers was Mr. Morris, he was every where helping his group who land a fish ha ha.

Luck was with Ms Rosenna and her aunt this time.. Both ladies landed about 9 fishes together, the two biggest Snapper was 1.62kg and 1.50kg. Rosenna was also the participant for the 2nd league in August, but she didn’t manage to catch any fish at that time, this round she can really enjoy hooking up fishes like no body business ha ha.
Mr. Christopher Soh a full force turn out for this event.. a family outing with his two cute little kids and Mrs. Soh, Christ manager to land 2 fish, but he missed about 4 big monster.. Better next time Christ...

Just about 30min more to 1pm.. Mr. Foo was running with his rod… what happen!!! That because he got some thing big taking his bait away.. Couple of min later he landed the biggest fish of the day, a 3.12kg Snapper! All the way to the weighting area you can see him with a lovely smile on his face.

The competition come to an end at 1pm follow up the final result and prize presentation plus lucky draw.
